"From Tennessee to Texas"

James Buchanan Hilliard came to Dodd City Texas from Tennessee by way of train in 1890. With him was his son (my Father) a three year old boy named James Wilson Hilliard.  They bought land and settled south of Dodd City where six generation's have lived on the land. 

I grew up farming but as a young man began to operate heavy machinery for local road contractors during the off season. We also ran a rock quarry where I gained a lot of experience maintaining as well as operating equipment.

We would often trade tractors and equipment as a means to upgrade our operation's and it was then that I began to see the need for quality used equipment in our area. Through the years this has spread from the surrounding counties to include a five state area where I log thousands of miles each year locating and hauling equipment.  I also haul for various equipment dealers and do equipment appraisal work.
